GPS apps?

Does anybody know of a good GPS app for android? I want to be able to mark a waypoint on a map to find it again later. Let's say I found a good permission or a place in the woods that I want to return to later..I want to be able to mark it, open the app and find it again. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Backcountry Navigator would do this.

I thought all smart phones has GPS.

They have the GPS hadware, and use the location functionality in many apps, and the phone itself.

But they don't usually include an app that provides tools and an interface like an actual standalone GPS device would.
