It is a very pretty rock. I also bought a rock with some quartz crystals it is nice too

IMHO a piece like yours and up....we used to pick up different sizes all time when we were kids.Just dont seem to see em anymore?Might be because I dont cover the country I did when I was young?

I identify with that, those days are gone forever. Also, it seems like all the easy stuff has been picked up, and at least in Oregon, the BLM and Forest Service have been filling in old mine prospects. I remember one easy to get to prospect hole that had a huge vein of iron pyrite, and when I took the grand kids down to show them the BLM had blown it closed. Also a close by copper mine has been sealed up. So between our government and old age, it aint like it used to be.
