got permission to hunt a new spot today by walking up and asking a work crew,

they told me the neighbor next door said her uncle had lived on it in 20s

The place was a single story old shack and I did find what was left of it

they are making 10 foot wide trails through out the a 4-5 acre piece

anyway here is some my first SE finds, I did find some trash

only coin I got so far was a 1963 memorial that was in path of clothes line which is 150 feet roughly from end of house
it was about 10 inches down

clothes line has a coupling on it at bottom but I could not unscrew it by myself

so next visit I will use a pipe wrench and equalizer to look inside it

SE is definitely different from my old DFX side kick I have had a while
I dug everything to learn tones and VDI numbers on her

Orchid was just blooming and saying hello

yeah it does I think, gonna move the old home's rotten wood off it's base if they will let me. It pretty much rotted and fell straight down and in. And get under the steps also. I didn't take pictures of the oaks on the place but about 15 of them are huge maybe 25 -35 feet diameter easily and 3-400 year old trees.

get you to come down my friend and give me some pointers

You will get it figured out if you keep playing with it but harder to make yourself do that when you have a machine that you are so very comfortable with already! Good luck!

Good luck. I will be looking forward to some great finds.

I'm sure that machine will find you some winners! I sent you a PM.

HH!

You will grow to love the SE. I went from a bounty to a DFX to an SE last summer. By the end of the summer, my SE and me were one. I almost always know when I am on top of a coin and sometimes what coin it could be. I just started detecting again (frost gone) about 2 weeks ago and my first coin found within 15 minutes of the hunt, was an 1865 2-center. I have only went on a couple hunts since then but cleaning house so far. Listen well to Captn SE, Silverfreak and others. They will get you on track. One thing that helped me also was to do some night hunts with the screen backlight off. This is a good way to learn how to read the sounds. Pitch and repeatability are key, and a small pinpoint is a good thing too. Good luck.
