It dawned on me this morning that a broke piece I found yesterday is actually a reworked graver/perforator. The little point has very fine pecking on it. View attachment 1720277

Nice offset for added leverage in twisting back and forth. I can also see plenty of use wear on the tip when I zoom in. Nice!

I’d say ! Awesome frame some really nice finds in there.... some of those drills are crazy looking talk about needle tips

You would have to be very careful when using them for sure. Some you can see smoothing of the tips from use.

Here’s a couple Perferators or Engravers found the same day in the same field. I found one and my father found the other.

Here are s few I’ve found in Colorado. The curved one would pierce anything, the plain ones were found with a piece pipe look hand polished. I haven’t seen any like the large one. 8F32E664-BFFE-4603-844D-7BB9219C3121.jpegFC89E070-1927-45E1-B59D-8DC9FDE63A78.jpeg5171B7ED-4B4D-4589-9F42-B840697D4051.jpegBD0FB4F0-72F4-4B35-8666-55E6FB6CAE38.jpeg
