Hello everyone.? It's been Spring all Winter, here in Tennessee, so I got out again today (it's my Sunday).? Went to one of my 'old standby' sites in Dover, and dug a few nice relics.?
Not pictured is the half horseshoe, the metal toothpaste tube (remember those), the nails, aluminum cans, and other assorted junk that finds it's way into the ravines of urban America.? Luckily, no snakes.?
The goodies I dug today include: a Minnie, a round ball, a pistol ball, and a buckshot (from a 'buck and ball' round, I presume).? I found a whatsit, which looks like part of a picture frame.? Who knows?? I also found the cannon ball fragment pictured.?
After all these years, and all of the many hunters, there's stilll stuff in the ground.
