We decided to get out again today, the weather was nasty, as it rained and was dreary until the evening.
Fought it for a couple of hours, and it was worth it. Found a nice 1812 large cent and a solid silver buckle. Not sure of the age of the buckle as this field is around a small old town and items have been found from a wide range of years.
My buddy found a French version of a large cent, and a well worn half reale, and a nice dandy button with a floral pattern. A cool note is, since we were there last, a stone lined hand dug well revealed itself. It apparently was filled in at some point and the dirt sunk in and opened it back up, gave us a better idea where the house sat.
