Got hot tip on cold day!!

I got a tip from one city worker i know they tearing up land very near from the old city greens to put in a big waterpipe they had huge pile dirt from the site so sneaked in there and detected for a two hour before i got booted out of there. i found some silvercoin and nickles and some wheatpennies

Wow buddy, if you found that in anywhere near only a couple hours, imagine if you had a few hours..... I can guarantee I would be sneaking around the dirt piles in the middle of the night, probably with a sifter... I hope you are planning on going back?

If he pays city taxes I see NO harm in it. He isn't hurting anything or stealing for that matter. I say go back!!! Clean it out.

Nice coins! Try to find out if they removed any dirt and dumped it at another location, putting in a pipe would they would have alot of extra dirt. HH

Excellent finds!! Get yourself a hardhat, a reflective safety vest and wear some sturdy boots. If someone "runs" you out again, tell them you will leave once your archaeological survey is completed, as you don't want the city to end up with a law suit!
