Let me start with saying this is the best cleanup device I have ever used. I had 4 gallons of cons sitting in the shed that had already been thru what is considered the best cleanup tool by many. I will not name it I am not here to bash on any other equipment. I am surprised at the amount of sub -100 gold that was caught. These cons are from my 4" Proline which I am amazed it caught this small of gold.I get 10-12 Gallons of cons a day from this dredge and my trips are usually 10-15 days.I now know I have thrown a crap load of gold back in the creek. My hat is off to Doc it is a amazing piece of equipment at a very fair price that works exactly as advertised. Here are a few pics of what came out of that 4 gallons only took about 20 mins to get it down to 2 table spoons.
Heavy Pans to all and Merry Christmas:headbang:

Stop it!! (sarc) You guys are killing me! Anyway, we are 'posed to get an inch of rain tonite on S. Oregon coast, but you guys and gals enjoy Aridzona this winter!

I ran my multi-sluice for the first time the other day and I had bought the pump kit with it, being that I'm in Az without any other bilge pumps... Well, it lasted about 1-1/2 hours before blowing the 7.5amp fuse... Then I looked up the regular 1100gph bilge pumps on Amazon and they run on 3amps with the actual Rule pumps amps coming in at 2.2 that Doc recommends. The Chinese pump that Doc is selling in the pump kit is a 6amp pump, so this is strange to me. It's using over twice the amount of battery as the standard bilge pump that you can buy on Amazon. It worked, but you definitely need to run it with a 6amp or better charger hooked up to it at home.

I just bought one of these for field use with my Solar panel.

Definitely needs to step up to a better pump... Better efficiency = longer run time.

Doc does say upfront it's a cheap Chinese pump and they are only available as a add on to the Multi Sluice. I got it with mine because of the sale he was having it was just about free. He does recommend buying the pump that Reed ordered.

Actually he recommends buying the Rule pump but it's $41.00, so I stuck with the $16.00 Amazon Recommendation because it's a 3amp and it will be here tomorrow :)

Interesting discussion but you are killing the rest of us with the wonderful pictures of your 'simple' grub! Keep on enjoying all of yourselves doing what you like to do!..................63bkpkr

Funny.... "cheap Chinese pump"

I think I'm the only manufacturer out there trash talking their own products... lol

Thanks Reed I updated the pump info so it now shows the amp draw.

Honestly... the only reason we offer the PUMP KIT... is that it's kind of hard and often expensive to get ALL the parts of it individually.
It's also a little frustrating when you get a PUMP... and it comes with 24" wires and no battery clamps.
So I put the kit together like I... use it.
- HEAVY 14 gauge long wires. (To actually reach the battery)
- Decent quality clamps. (often hard to find even for us sometimes)
- 5 feet of good bilge hose.

We put our own 90 day warranty on the pump at our expense. If it craps out, we'll send you a new one.
If they're going to die... they usually do in the first 30 days.
BUT... the one I'm using right now I've had for 2 years and beat the living hell out of it.

Yep he is upfront and honest. I got the kit so i could have all the parts pumps are easy to get and I plan on using my little 2.5hp gas trash pump to run it in the field.

You're a good man Doc :) We all know that and that's why I'm switching over to your products! I couldn't believe the amount of -300 that was caught in the Multi-Sluice, it's really a great product that does catch that 99% just like you say it does. So next, when I get home, I want to add my trommel from the Gold Cube on to it to classify and feed it. Can you come up with a mounting system and a trommel for us all? :hello:

This is a link to the pump I have used for my multisluice. It is an Atwood (Tsunami series) 1200 gph pump. They are all 'cheap china pumps' , but this is built better, and costs about $27 bucks if I remember correctly. Cheaper than the Rule, better balance than the $16 blue pump, and draws only 3.0 amps. That is important if you plan on running in field mode with a smaller battery. The 6.0 amp one killed one my smaller batteries (I didn't realize it drew that many amps - my fault).

To put the amp draw in context, but jump Rule 3700 GPH pump draws about 13 amps. 3.0 is about right, 6.0 amps is too much for what its putting out. Just my opinion.

The Multisluice is great. love it. One of the best pieces of prospecting equipment I own!

Success!!! Today I ran the Multi-Sluice with the 3amp pump all day with my 100watt Renogy Solar Suitcase keeping the battery charged with no problems. I tried the 6amp pump that came with it and it just blew fuses... So the cheap Chinese pump as Doc calls it, didn't work out... But the 3amp was definitely a crowd pleaser :occasion14:

very cool, might need to get one of those 8)

Did not realize you were a disabled vet in our PMs Thank You for your service I will take you out for a day of dredging next time I am going to texas but you will have to drive a few hours to my spot. you can check out my other equipment and see what fits your style before dropping large amounts of cash.

SOLD! Haha ive been trying to upgrade my equipment but I have no idea what to look for when it comes to a sluice. I want to set the multi sluice as a high banker just because sluices are illegal in my area, and i really want to test out this new spot with a lot of shovels. Thanks for the review cheers.

So I ran my battery by itself today with the 3amp pump and it ran for just over 4 hours before the power started going down. The battery says 26 to 35 amp hours, so being that it will run all day on the Solar panel, I'm happy. The battery comes with 7.5amp fuses, so I know that it wasn't pulling that much, but it was definitely pulling more then the 3 amps. I'm thinking that it was pulling around 5.5amps because I did hook up a 5amp charger to it after it died and it ran fine but was slowly discharging at the same time. This could also have been from the amount of mud in the water towards the end also because I did almost fill the bin with sediment and it was to close to the pump at the end of the day. But hey, I'm experimenting :) Either way, the pump ran fine though it was pulling more then 3amps and I did have to clean roots out of the impeller once and the water was chocolate when it started getting dark tonight. I ran it for about 5-1/2 hours today with the battery charger hooked up for the last hour.
Being that the battery weighs about 4lbs, makes everything easy to carry all together with the heaviest part being the solar Suitcase when I need to use it. But with a 4 hour run time on the battery, that's more then enough for me on a day trip.

Yeah, I know this is an old thread but some users of the sluice may not have seen this tip.

I know this is an old one coming back up, but I was impressed with this unit. Not only for how quickly I could run the material through it but also what I did not find in pan after pan of tailings coming off the end. Doc did his homework on this one.
