historic park no md sign close up.JPG

I was scouting the location of an "arbor" that hosted upwards of 900 folk at revival meetings before the civil war, in what was then called South Florida, pretty much considered central florida now. My search led me to this park with a no metal detecting sign that anticipated my designs on the place.

Actually, it's a historical park now, with a number of historic buildings transplanted there.

well historic typically means off limits to MD'ing but I'll bet it was MD'd before that sign went up. Oh well on the next site.

Ocean7 correct.
Historic usually means off limits. I don't tread those areas...
Good luck
Peace

Bradenton has a few of those near a few parks with fresh water springs on them, a few Historical markers from the mid 1850`s in the area too

They probably wouldn't have put up a sign if there hadn't been an earlier problem. What does this mean?

1. Someone most likely hit the site already. They hit it hard enough to get a sign put up.

2. They were a problem. Don't be a problem at your next site. Don't generate another sign. Signs suck.
