I know this is gold, but I just had to share where I know persons that I communicate with will see it, as they are very rare. No need to comment.
My Dad is now 82 years old. In 1958 he got gold fever and bought a 1958 Willys Wagon and an 11 HP Suction dredge with scuba gear and sluice box. Him and his friend Walt took off to the feather river to Strike it Rich!
I went to visit my dad day before yesterday and he got to talking about the old days and asked if I remembered his nugget. I had completely forgotten about it. He brought it out and I snapped a few pics.
It is just over an ounce assayed and was found in the middle fork of the Feather river in 1958. Middle fork is now under water due to a Dam construction project.
It is the only nugget of size that he found (most were match heads) He said that when he brought it up he was sure that he hit a motherlode! Sadly Not.
Cheers everyone!
