Havent been able to get out much this year (specially compared to last year where I got out almost every week)
But I was able to get into the cold New England waters this weekend
got the class ring after being in for about an hour - it's from Notre Dame - it has no date on its outside - weird -
(I see 2 faint possible digits engraved inside which I think was its date)
I think its an old one though because wheat pennies and silver coins were found in water around it and the engraving
is old script type and the Balfour marking looks like an older one - first name is legible but last is worn away-
after a few hours tide was coming in and started to work my way back in little by little - got a nice blast and was surprised
when I saw unusual wedding band in the bottom of my scoop - it is some sort of fern pattern - ring is 18K and heavy
ended up with 5 silver dimes - a silver quarter and a buffalo for older coins
got 4 musket balls here too - which I always find cool to find in the water
oh - other ring in pic is a tungsten carbide - thought I had a 3rd gold ring as sand slowly filtered thru my scoop - rats
before and after lite cleaning pics of the gold
inside markings
