Ok, let's start an official thread with what I know so far.

* Parker wants to buy his own lease to be free of Tony and has a stated goal of 2000 ounces

* The Hoffmans are abandoned. Dave Turin is going to work for Freddie Dodge.

* Dakota Fred and Dustin are off the show due to a contract dispute.

* Tony f***ing Beets wants to rebuild a floating dredge in a project that should yield lots of beeps.

And just saw this. Jim Thurber is out.

The Hoffmans are abandoned :( how Sad

who will do the work ?

The Hoffmans will be there, don't know why you would think otherwise.

Tony beats on the show should be interesting
Btw dont let young children watch

I'm an adult (I think :tongue3: ) & I don't even wanna watch him.
as far as the language, not a problem.
nothing he says is gonna make peoples ears explode & even so
they sensor him. I just don't like his gods gift to mining attitude.
I don't know if he grew up thinking swearing makes him a Man,
Or if he's doing it to screw with the TV crews.
(if it's to screw with the TV crew, OK ! I can respect that :laughing7: )
but otherwise, "he" needs to grow up imo

& hopefully his attitude doesn't wear off on Parker

Parker already has an attitude way beyond his years. I've watched how he talks to men twice his age and marveled that they didn't knock his teeth in. I know he's the boss of the mine but man that kid cops a major attitude and one of these days it's going to get adjusted.

Yes I noticed that Last season Also :(

I wonder how much of it as Beets Pushing him

& how much it was Beets Attitude rubbing off on him

Guys,

It's a TV show. They edit it the way they want you to see it. The producers exaggerate the drama. I can tell you I have met Parker at the Big Nugget and he is a great kid with a work ethic that would put most to shame. I have also met Tony Beets. He also is a great guy and really admires Parker. Just remember, it's a TV show and the producers will edit it the way they want to edit to make more drama than there really is.

yes I'm aware there is a bit of creative Editing going on ,
But you can only do so much editing.
The actors still need to give them something to work with.
how much is acting & how much is real is the point

With a degree in the field, I must say, you dont see 99% of what goes on.
- The Truth

You can't take everything you see on the show as gospel. Its TV and as real as it may seam they still put on a show for the camera, and as far as attitudes you have to remember they are in a cruel enviroment surrounded by rough caricters they aren't just hangin out here in the lower 48 they are in alaska.

Yes I hope they all do well this season love this show makes me have gold fever seeing the gold they find . Wish I could find some gold like that someday

The language is no worse than my experiences among my peers in the Navy in the late 60's or the mining industry of the 70's thru the 90's. It was and still is not appropriate in front of authorities, the general public or at home but that is not where they are. I find the show interesting, entertaining and quite often funny especially Beets. I think a lot of what he does is just to yank someones chain or to get their attention. Just my two cents worth.

It's not so much the language itself.
as I've said. there is no word that can make people Shrivel up & die,
If they say or Hear it :tongue3:

It's the Repetitive quantity, that reminds me of Kids acting Tuff.

or maybe it's Tourette's :dontknow:

I know why there is so much gold in Alaska, because its in Alaska. 5 of every 1000 people go missing each year. so for a city of 20,000 people 100 of them just go missing. That kind of life just ain't for everybody, and the people it is for may be a bit differant than the rest of us.

I think my Tourettes most often occurs when I am in my woodshop or when I'm trying to climb back up a shaley slope that I slid down to prospect. Oh, and politics that I don't agree with.

More Beets.

If he seems cocky, I believe it's only because he's paid his dues.

I would watch the show if he was the only one on it. :laughing7:

Ive tried to figure how they pay there bills. Which they say are so expensive. New this or major repairs. But in the end they will always split up all the gold they find. I know its just a t.v show. But don"t complain if you don"t have to pay for them.
