Gold rope chain...

Can any water machine pick up a smaller than pinky size 14k gold chain in the ocean? I've tried the Aquapulse and couldn't find it? I'd thought since the chain was on the thicker side that that machine would pick it up. Na da!! Would the surfmaster Pi pick it up? It's not that this chain is thin, its a thick rope chain? Any suggestion? I know all you shipwreck guys use this machine with great success but I thought that the Aquapulse would pick up the chain because it was on the thicker side and it was a rope chain not a thin chain... Thanks for all or your responses...

How deep under the sand is it? White's Surf PI Pro Dual Field should find it in 12" - 18" under the sand. I've found similar at those depths. I'm surprised the aquapulse didn't detect it.
