Hoping to know more about this ring from the experts thanks! Found it where I have been finding all my items lately at an old military camp WWI Era on the border.

Hey curious though... Just because it's plated... Does that mean it's more modern or could it still be old?

I wonder if there is anyway to tell if its old..? I just was wondering if it could be from the Mexican Revolution.. American Military camp where it was found.. or more likely from someone walking in the area ...

At least yours still has the gold plating. I found this one with my eyes at an old coal mine camp out behind where I live. I know the mine closed in 1938, but most of what I've found out there dates from the very late 19th C to the first quarter of the 20th C. My guess is your ring and the one I found date from maybe the 1890s to 1910s. They most likely had a colored glass stone imo. Just a real looking inexpensive ring purchased at the Five & Dime long ago.

This is some really good information! The camp I was detecting at was most active 1910 to 1920... during the Mexican Revolution. I found probably more often older items buttons, and bullets and such there from the camp... But I have also found modern items as well, modern american coins, knives, and pesos... So I was hoping it was older... and it seems to be.. With your information I believe it to be more from that time period..
