No use opening. If I turn it over you would see the edge of the watch, with a Big hole in the middle,? ;D? No Guts in it? :(
 

Very nice find!! I found an old one ( easily 1800's ) last weekend in a dirt bank in an old town nearby. Front and back covers are gone, but the frame, winding stem, watch fob ring and internals are all there. Only my second one. Love the way they look and finding them. Very cool! WTG!! HH
 

Any Guess would Be Pure Speculation. The coins found in that particular Area dated between 1890's & early 1920's
 

Years ago I collected pocket watches. It looks like a late 1800 watch case. If you open it there should be a Mfg. mark inside. May be a symbol. If you can post a photo of that mark I can look it up.
