Hey everyone, I dug this at a middle school on the side of a hill it appears to be a two piece gold plated button with an Eagle and Anchor on the front, the back is too rusted to get any info off from it, and could definately use some help with the ID and time frame! Hope everyone had a successful weekend of Dirt Fishing! Happy Hunting All! Enjoy the pics! The entire top part of the button is evenly plated, no corrosion, or rust present. The dark parts on the left and right side are caused by the shadow from the light.

US Navy Motif blazer button... the steel back/self-shank makes it fairly modern.

Can we get a close up pic of the front? Sometimes the details help...

Thanks for the bigger pic: I'm sticking with Blazer button... I modified my response.

I was going to say the same but the pictures were too small. I do now definately agree

It does look like a copy of Navy motive. Can't find a match in Alberts button book. The eagle and anchor not matching. I agree with Montana Jim on the blazer button ID. Still a great find :icon_thumright:

We have had them here before with the metal back and the consensus is blazer button. I found one in my backyard under the existing clothesline. House built in 1950's..
