Gold Pendant..... Pre Columbian treasure or Junk?

Hey all... Figured I would post this to see what everyone thought..... Purchased this afternoon for $4.99 at a local thrift store.

Item Details:
Measures a little bigger than a dime
Weighs: 8.4 g


pendant is in the image of a face.... African? Aztec?

Unfortunately I can't find my gold test kit...Just ordered another....

Looks real to me but I have been wrong many times before... Ideas/thoughts?

If it's gold it looks a lot higher than 14 K. Almost like 18 or 22k. I guess you'll know once you get your kit!
