Latest update on my gold coin, I registered it with the Archaeology department over the phone. I have to take it in so they can physically see it and document the find. It sounded positive and they said it will be between myself and the landowner as I will have to split the value with the landowner, it is worth around $250.00ish. Also talked to the landowner and showed them the coin, they said they didn't want their half and I can keep the coin/money, but it is not for sale, helped their son look for an engagment ring last year so that may have helped with their decision of not taking their half, did not find the ring unfortunately. I'll atleast buy them a case of beer, LOL! HH, Mike
