Gold leaf Verre Eglomise of Chinese women - Signed by French artist?

After some lengthy research I have what I believe to be an early 20th century reverse glass painting in deep gold leaf frame. The painting itself is the head of a traditional Chinese women.
The signature reads - André - On the back of the picture the paper is old and brittle. All together its one unique piece and have not been able to find anything like it. I really need help with it.
