Can you clean inside the indentations better? May show marks better. Try an old tooth brush and dawn dish soap if you haven't already.

On gold there is no harm in some baking soda as well to bring up the relief!

I suggested Dawn because "it cuts the grease". lol. Oil from the hands and lotions etc. That get crammed in the details. Baking soda is harmless as well.

Romeo...
Tarnex... and toothbrush... work the hallmarks in gentle circles...
Rinse with hot water often... repeat.
Do not soak in Tarnex longer than 30 seconds at a time.
Rinse after 30 second "shots...
May take three or four shots...
worn brushes and fine bristles work best...
Should bring em out.

Thanks for the tips...I've tried baking soda but with no better results. I'm pretty sure that this is as good as it's going to get. It looks like the inside of the diamond hallmark is worn smooth...

I'll keep trying for more details...
