I recently purchased this 9ct fob for around spot price.
I am wondering if there are collectors of "order of Buffaloes" items, and if this piece would hold any intrinsic value, or is it only worth the gold.

I believe the fob is made by Fattorini & Sons Bradford, I am hoping for a long shot that the recipient "Hughes" might have some historical significance.

Thanks in advance

You should find his family and try to return it!

I have been trying to find some information and links, but as yet I don't even know what country I should be looking in.

I'd assume it was sold at an estate sale and if the heirs wanted it, they'd have kept it.

This appears to be the same fob; perhaps the one you purchased.

BTW, there was a Lodge #1035 in Prince of Wales, Lancashire West, between the years 1864 and 2007.
It was 'erased' in 2007; most likely due to declining membership.
