Gold colional cuff links

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, but I saw some one had found a gold cuff link.

This wasn't today's find, but about three weeks ago.

Me and my hunting buddy had a good day in the Caribbean.

Found a toasted penny, musket balls ,a cannon ball and the gold cuff links.

Now if we can just find the other one. HH!

I'm afraid I have no clue, but it seems wide enough to be a linked button.:dontknow:
 

Dare I say Banner?

If that can be confirmed colonial, and from the other story, their frequency of recovery seems very rare, I don't see why this would not be Banner.
 

That's a very nice find, a deep buttery looking gold colour, got to be high kt. As for the date, cufflinks of high quality with a gold link connection were in use by 1715, so these could be slightly earlier. By the way I think these were used on a shirt, rather than Cuff-links...great find.:icon_thumleft:
