gold coin

Does a good coin ring up as gold or as a coin I'd imagine gold

Must have missed this one, sorry for the delay. The $5 gold coin was found years ago with a Whites S63TR Goldmaster. That only had a volt meter, no ID. The $20 gold coins were in a mason's jar with a zinc lid. They IDed Zinc. The detector only sees what is on top. Frank...

I found a 1980 krugerrand this year. Not what the OP had in mind but it's a coin. I am sure the person who lost it looked. I will get a US gold eventually.....maybe.

2 parts knowledge, 3 parts persistence and 5 parts dumb luck.
