Gold? Brass? Bracelet

Found this on the beach today it hit at "gold ring" but I'm not sure for certain how to tell. It is the first thing I've found that wasn't a nail so I'm not very experienced in being able to tell the difference between metals. Any thoughts?

It appears to be Gold color over copper. It is rare that anything precious like gold is strung up on cloth cordage. I would say 95% not gold. You can go on eBay and invest a few bucks in an acid test kit for gold or go to your local pawn shop. They will tell you immediately about the actual content. First check to see if it is magnetic. If it sticks to a magnet Not gold.

Thank you! I went over it with the strongest magnets I could find and it is not magnetic. I'm going to try and clean it off a little better to hopefully get a better look at it.

nice i remember those, from my headshop days, i made candles and jewelry
there gold plated daisy beads, most of the time the bracelet would look like
this strung with dif type beads

Pretty sure that is going to be a homemade bracelet with beads from a craft store very cool though.
