Been searching the pasture now for a while. I've lost count of the copper coins. Some going back to Georgian, all in poor condition. At last though not one, but two rings. First to surface was the silver one. Followed a couple of hours later by the gold one. The gold one is 9 carat rose gold, hallmarked Chester 1918. I'm going out in a short while to give the owner of the field the rings. She owns a few more fields locally. So she may let me search them later in the year. The other fields are ploughed, so could produce older finds.

Robert.

Rob,

Good going on the ring finds and giving them to the owner should score some points.

Regards + HH

I really like that woven ring ! I'd be interested in seeing the soldered join area on that - it's tricky to get the pattern to match
up at that point .

Yeap, I tend to give away the rings as well. Of little interest to me.

I bet giving her the rings will make her happy and open some doors for you! :icon_thumleft:

Got to keep the silver ring Argentium. You're right, the patern does not match, all way around the inside.

Beautiful rings !

Nice going on the rings and the PR, hope it opens up some dirt for your fall hunting.
