Gold and silver...it's been too long
I hunted the same park I did last week. This time I put the 8 inch coil on and gave it a try. I started digging pennies in 2x2 foot area. I dug a bunch but not all of them so I moved on. I worked some of the field for a few hours then moved to the shaded playground area. Here is where I found the 1943s war nickel, the 14k cheerleader pendant, the horned creature, the baby ring and the Peters shotgun shell end. Now, the shotgun shell end was a surprise since it dates back to the 30's at the latest and this park isn't all that old.
I ended up with $5.35 in coins. I can't remember the last time I've found gold and silver in the same hunt.
