Last week I looked with a White coinmaster 4000 and I found a 1950 quarter play money. Has anyone ever found any metal play money. My buddy found some old wheats so surely there is some silver there. I hope my Tesoro can find it today.

Welcome, capgun. What state you in? I have never found metal play money, found a plastic nickel once though ;D,also found game tokens, parking tokens, bus tokens, bridge tokens, carwash tokens and even a bank token. How old is the house site your searching? Is the house still standing?Search areas where there would have been a garden or clothesline or if it's a really old site, check the area where they would have tied up the horses.Dtect aroung any large old trees or if there is a creek nearby the house detect the path to it.Good luck on your search and welcome to the treasurenet forum.Keep us posted.

thanks for the reply, I live in Tennessee. The house place was built around the late 1800's to early 1900's. The house is almost gone. thanks for the tips. will post later. Fixing to leave, should have about 3 hours.

Welcome to the Forum fellow Tesoro person!

That Tesoro umax is a great machine. For that matter, all Tesoros are great.

Hunt slowly and with the lowest discrimination possible. Dig all those nice smooth solid signals that are good from all directions.

I found a 10 cent piece of play money from the 1950's in a park once. Went in the keeper box because I don't find much like that.

yea that's a cool find. Thought I had a silver quarter at first. LOL. I am hoping to go to that place tomorrow. The grass is mowed makes for easy digging. The coins we have found so far have been wheat. I am hoping to at least hit a merc. or who knows.
