If you use the wireless and put a plastic bag over your hea...oh...wait. 😛

Go to Wal-Mart get a set of Black Web Bluetooth earbuds $19.00, says they are waterproof (rain proof) you can't submerge. I have a set for my 800 and a set for my AT Pro, The Pro I use a Bluetooth transmitter works great on the Pro.

Only problem with the Walmart earbuds is they don’t appear to be low latency. I have a similar pair that say they are low latency but my Equinox doesn’t recognize them as low latency and the audio delay between swinging the coil over a target and actually hearing the signal is noticeable and annoying.

Question is, is the Equinox headphones ok to hunt in the rain or should I use my waterproof headphones? I’d rather be cordless which is what I’m asking. Thank you

Simple....wear a hooded jacket, headphones on with hood up....problem solved.

After swinging in the rain,
make sure you clean under coil cover, its gets full of dirt when its wet out, and machine can act weird if there us too much soggy silt blocking how it reads things

I got caught in the rain today for a while so just put the headphones away and used the speaker. coin average was not any less. Almost could have left my digger in the truck as the ground is so soggy i picked the shallow coins out with my fingers.
