Gods of MERCURY shined on me today for the 1st time

hey guys and gals

Out today for a run..like the addict I am.... -18 when I got outta truck.

No wind helped..but it was cold.....almost had to leave after 20 minutes..thumbs were cold cold.

But got them warm and all was good except the beach was froze solid from 1/2 tide up .

Went along for 2 hours and only musket balls and junk...decied to try DISCRIM 2 with the CZ 21.....as was a trashy area I usually avoid...after 2 mins hit the big blank copper....then 5 minutes later hit the MERCURY....MY FIRST ONE !!

Discrim works well on the CZ 21 !!! and the hot rocks disappeared also...this morning the hot rocks were worse than ever in ALL METAL...musta been the cold.

So all and all...I,m happy with my dumazz move to go detecting this morning.

The last picture looks like a split shot fishing weight. Maybe a musket ball carved for that purpose.

Would love to be able to pull Mercs out of the ground and tell that they are actually mercs. The 2 I have found were at the beach and crustied so bad, i couldnt even tell they were mercs till after a tumble. Congrats!

Mercs are not too plentifull up this way.....or at least I don,t think they are. But looks nice in my silver display case.!!
