Too light and pasty
Have to scroll to the top of page to see the header
Not uploading pictures properly

The notifications are now 90% the same colour till the curser goes onto the right thing.

Everyone has a BLUE ? for an icon/Avatar.

Not really impressed
Yeah as soon as I clicked on this morning it was evident things had changed.
Im on a phone so don't know what it's like on a pc. The avatars seem a bit bigger I think.
Overall it is ok now I know its the site and not me that's weird.
🤔 I'll rephrase that.... It seemed weird at first but its growing on me.

Noticeably more responsive/snappier. At first it was like a camera flash in my eyes. But I'm messing around with customization and finding a nice happy medium.

I find it to be a lot faster (on a PC at least).

Note that 'Charter Member' status is missing from the avatars of members who have it, although the associated permissions still seem to be OK.

I have no issues with uploading.

You can adjust the settings at top right, 2nd and third icon from right.

Unread topics are still bold.

It is kinda like the night time setting on my computer. Easier on the eyes I think.

I like that the poster's avatar/name/info stays stationary as you scroll down reading their post, so at the end of reading the post you only need to look to the left for who posted.

I DON'T like that the "OP" is no longer "marked" in a topic, on multi page topics you no longer know the OP when they reply again, especially if you're like me and have CRS (Can't Remember $hit)!

I DON'T like that no matter how you "customize" the look of the forum the date of a post is almost invisible, it's such a light shade you can't read it very well at all, it does get a tiny bit better if you hover your cursor over the date but still very hard to read.

I've just updated some of the concerns in this thread.

The date/time is now more noticeable.
The background/color is less peachy.
The Original Poster/Thread Starter we are waiting on updates for.
The navigation bar should be sticky....

There's one other thing I do miss, a topic is highlighted if there's new posts since you last visited that topic...but it used to also have a red dot by those topics as well, which no longer there now and I liked that red dot because it very easy to see at a glance or a fast scroll when scanning a forum section.

There is a new icon next to it now... between that and the unread topics being bold that should cover it.

I think you misunderstood my "red dot" concern, it appears that what you did was to add a icon that says "new" to the forum "sections" when there's new content, that's not where my concern is, the normal icon for forum sections are very easy to see when they are highlighted or not.

What I was saying about the "red dot" was inside a forum section, for instance when you click on the "What is it" forum section and it opens and when there are new replies to a topic that topic title would not only be highlighted as it was before and as it is now but it also had the red dot beside the topic title.

This is a very big forum and I like to read as much of it as I can and those red dots saves a lot of time when seeking out new replies.

When I first signed on it was obviously apparent there was a new look. It is much brighter than before and that aids my old eyes. However, the smaller print makes my eyes strain a little bit more to read the posts now. But I will get used to it or modify it! Looks cleaner now. Still a fantastic site.

What about the "NEW" icon next to the topic title? On the dark skin it blends in pretty well but on the light skin it shows up pretty apparent. Here's a screenshot of it on the dark skin though....

I am messing with the mac annotation too so I marked it up a few different times in the image.

Edit: I've adjusted the color of it to a red so it's more visible on the dark skin.

We have the normal font size set to 16 pixels... the skin by default comes in at 13 pixels but that's definitely too small. I'm wondering if there is an easy way we can offer a version with a larger font size. I'll do some research on that... it's hard to find a size that fits everyone so there should be an easier way to choose larger fonts for sure.

Yes that works for me, different than the red dot of before but works just as well.

Thanks!

I've just bumped the font size up one more pixel. I don't think we can go any larger than this.
