Its supposed to say Black Barts and marks treasure hunt sorry

It’s really neat.... It’s about time to fill up again...or... about time to go find another....

There's a few really good reads on the case gin.
This link tells of the history and mostly has seal/embossed pictures. Though the general design shape of the bottle might help determine the approx. age.

This site helps really well in dating of glass.

This site is a little too much of everything, B&W drawings and photos. From page:92 might help in the lip/neck design of dating your gin.

I love the look of the lip, just gnarly old written all over it. A top shelf display case gin Mark-congrats on the recovery, as if you weren't there it would be just a shard of lost history. Congrats.

Very cool bottle! It is a real beauty! Thanks for sharing.

those are nice bottles, their shape is very different from other bottles

Nice recovery! My intuition is that this is a Dutch bottle from circa 1860-70s. I don't think there's any significance to the mold marks on the base. It's an unusually crude lip finish that reminds me of this Dutch schnapps bottle:

I’ve been wondering with all the links I’ve been reading and no ref to the bottom of those bottles.
Harry Prists, you win, it’s obvious you have forgotten more than most remember. demijohn page
