Gifs, Pics, and More

I get all my squash plants from the compost pile. Heck with starting them indoors now, as I figure if nature intended them to grow, it will survive.

Did a couple of dozen transplants to the berry patch and now they're starting to form fruit.

Now the corn growing in the chicken compost pile is getting to be a tad crazy high, on the one side it a lovely 9' on the other side it must be getting up 10' the cobs are at the 6ft level. :laughing7:

A couple of pictures from the garden harvest. Today's pickings and our garlic harvest close to 100 heads of garlic....I'll be sorting out the larger ones for replanting come October.

The smaller ones will be used for cooking....I might ferment a pint size of cloves for longer keeping in the fridge since hardneck garlic doesn't keep through the winter very well.

Heres a few pics of something we all use everyday... and never think about being "cool"...

Poor things get taken for granted... But... they have a cool history too.

:)

Enjoy these "tid bits".

I am guessing here, in the second pic and the 4th pic, are those cases that the utensils would be stored in? Also, in the last pic, is that a cork screw for bottles? That is an all purpose kit!

Thanks for the forgiveness WD.694FABA4-AB0F-4620-9C10-89892C302FC0.gif

Maybe I need to sharpen them up a tad.

Well, that led me to research. I never knew and am glad I know now. Our neighbors have free roaming hens and roosters and they tend to roam over to our yard. I will give them safe passage and teach my grandkids. Thank you.

Bubbles isn't mean, but roosters can certainly can be.
I've heard many a punt kicks to the rooster when it went after the owner.

Friend was telling me a story of the son adopted a bunch of chickens and a rooster.
Rooster attacked and his son would posture with the rooster.
Well he chased the guy into the barn, wind slammed the door shut, rooster attacked him.
The guy couldn't open the door as the cord to pull the latch open came off.
I guess his son was some messed up by the time they rescued him.
Got to know the bird, the Mrs can pet him, not that he cares for it, he tolerates our affection.

Stewed chicken with rice and beans made using spices from Belize. It was not as good as what we had down there but it wasn?t bad for my first attempt.

Oh that does look scrumptious WD, I could grof that down-except those lovely green bells and me tummy don't see eye to eye now in the later years. :(
I can relate but with different foods. Cucumbers I love but they don’t like me, not even the burpless variety. I can only eat Vidalia onions, also.

We went out to a higher end restaurant in the nearby city 5 yrs ago for the Mrs Birthday.
They had red peppers in the sauce, and what was I thinking.
It took 6 months to get the stomach back to where it wasn't complaining about how I nearly killed it.
Then again it might have been the tab at the end of the night.:laughing7:
