Many years ago I build such a steel handle for my large frame water cooled laser to carry it around while it is running. I fixed it on the Anode and cathode of the tube and since then I can light my cigarettes just with my finger tips and I fill up used and no longer working glow sticks just with my "p" to make them work again.

So It works!
