All the router work and carpentry is done. Filling a small knot area with epoxy and then we start on sanding and finishing !! Cover plates for components came out good !!

I had a purdy good day afield.The eagle claw on the ensemble is folded back on the left side. The old bottle looks have gotten hot like I was. The skeeters were really bad. The dime and the old co2 tube. I’m thinking the eagle is WW2.

Talking to the overseer of my detecting permission today I said to Bob do you mind if I take a pic of one of Ms. Joann’s chairs? Bob said no not at all. First a little background. These folks are the third largest private owned reality Co. in the states. Her Antiques are amazing. This is a chair in the auto shop. it’s crazy what’s she’s collected over the years.sorry for the pic.

I would almost guarantee that is west indies/cuban mahogany !! Some of the finest and most collectable furniture in the world was made from it. The age of mahogany almost wiped out the cuban mahogany.....from 1492-1911 every forest in the Caribbean and central America was combed and all the large old growth swetinea mahogoni were felled and brought to the mills of the finest musical instrument builders, furniture makers, and boatbuilders of europe and America. Cuban mahogany antique furniture can have prices so high you'll faint !! It was very desirable to the wood carving artists also and that chair looks like a classic piece !! I love it rook !

Don't believe it does. I've got to go back next week to retrieve something else out of the hole. Skeeters were eating me alive and I could not find it. I'll be ready next time.

Wow....the eagle is great rook....think it's off a hat maybe, congrats it's a nice display piece !!
