Hey Tom, I'm looking to get this particular piece soon. It's a WWII German Wehrmacht helmet dug up near Stalingrad. As you can see it's in relic condition. Any advice on making it look more presentable, or should I leave it as is? One way or another, I don't really care.

I restored some pieces for a museum and the steal was quite good. A short controlled electrolysis should do it. May 2 or 3 days and not too much power. I had one or two that didn´t lost the paint on all good parts.

Electrolysis... My mom swore she'd kick me out of the house if I did that.

Send it out for, "electropolishing" ,........ leave it in the tank all weekend,......

It will look like the chrome helmet in those old Hells Angeles movies,........
