A Great Hello To All,

I am retiring in four months and seventeen days, it should take about five months to get everything I need ready to go. I have used an old metal detector for the last several years and have just ordered a new ACE 350 Garrett to play with.

This forum is the reason I spent the money on the 350 and not on fishing tackle. Everyone here seems so friendly and helpful, you share your time and thoughts and now I have the bug bad. You all have sparked the fire in me and this stuff seems like great exercise.

You have already provided happy happy thoughts for me and shared ideas of future fun for me. I am glad to be part of your group and hope I can meet the standard that you have set.

You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Illinois for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome . I am new here also but the rest of me is an older model like yourself. I also have the Ace 350 and pleased with the reasults for an inexpensive unit , sure you will enjoy it.
Good luck and enjoy retirement. I too am looking to retire but not until I find the big one or put in another 10 years or so at my current job ; whichever comes first. Guess I better keep working.

Ole one eye , Couldn't help but notice your name and it sounds like you are blind in one eye. The J Rousch from the NASCAR racing world I also beleive is blind in one eye ( if I am not mistaking what I thought I heard ) , This couldn't be you could it? Just a coinciedence??
