I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but it's hot. I went out Sunday morning, but was back home by 10:30AM, however, I did manage to score something shiny. I have a well trodden spot that has produced all sorts of interesting finds. The place continues to give up, albeit begrudgingly, the treasure.

I dug this partial silver bracelet, with names engraved on it, must be from the 1940s or so, as it only has old timey names on it. My very favorite name is Gertrude... old Dirty Gertie.

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

Nice find now go find the rest of it! Congratulations

My grandmother's older sister was named Gertie, and granny was born in 1903.

Nice piece of silver. I have seen a lot of similar ones from WW2 Era. I am thinking you are right on as to age. All have engraved although crude engraving on each large link. They were called sweetheart bracelets. All mine have small links like yours but most were corroded from being underwater. Digging up those links one at a time was a pain sometimes. Although the back of every one says sterling!

Nice find buddy, she had allot of kids.

Wonderful find! Love the personalized stuff! I agree 1940s.

Nice I would be happy with that good job!! I bet trude had a tude when she lost that dude. LOL Thanks for showing us!!!

Nice silver! It's fun to work an area, thinking there can't be anything else; and something like that pops up. I always wonder why I didn't find it before.

Good find Tom. Fall coming.

Hey if it can't be silver coins, might as well be silver jewelry!, that's a pretty nice chunk of silver, nice find!!

Great silver find. Much more personal; something with a story behind it, than the average silver coin. Makes you wonder where Gertrude is today! Congrats!

Cool piece of silver, haven't seen one quite like it before.

Sweet find Tom, some mother lost her bracelet with all her kids names on it. Big families back them. I'd love to dig one of those.

Nice find! Your brave going out in the heat and humidity! Congrats and HH
