Incredible Dave! The picture of you three says it all... I can imagine how excited everyone was. Those hunts are few and far between, but that's the sort of excitement that keeps us going back to get covered in ticks and mosquitos :laughing7: Oh, and sick coppers too.

Looks like a hot spot ! Great saves guys :occasion14:

Unlucky for some but not you - congrats!

Truly Un=friggin believable!!! I remember GW #1  Congrat's on #13,who would of thunk :occasion14:

What a collection of historical treasures you've pulled out mate! Congrats to you all! :notworthy:

thanks everyone!

That is a barn burner display of pure quality. You keep doing that kind of stuff and the metal detecting paparazzi are going to start showing up at your house and work.

Congratulations my friend. We will be talking about that day for years. The excitement in the air was unbelievable! I'm so glad I was there to witness you get #13! It's beautiful too!

Damn Dave what a day! Great job on putting another in your collection. Tell Donnie he’s too new at colonial hunting to have a GW and Mass silver

LOL! I'm new to colonial sites but not new to relic hunting. I have been metal detecting for 24 years. I spent the first 10 years in coal camps looking for scrip. The next 12 years were in Civil War sites. I wish I had been digging colonial for those 24 years. There's nothing like it! Yesterday was one of those days you dream about. It was unbelievable the amount of excitement in the air.

just uploaded the video to the hunt.

Well that's just rediculus :occasion14: consider my mind blown. Very nice job with the preservation as well, how did you clean the GW?
Thanks! room temperature peroxide soak for a hour then dipped q-tip in peroxide and got most of the crust off.then I saw gold gilt in the recessed areas and soaped it up and went gently with the soft brass brush

thanks!

Way to go Dave! Saw Donnie's post on AD and looking forward to Dan's cleaned up shots. Man, I'm not sure what's more impressive, your 13 GWs or Dan's 17 Fugios!

John
