Any thoughts? Pulled from a home built in 1730 - right across the street from an old tavern and stage coach stop that I am trying my darndest to get permission to dig. I think I can make out a '55' - it ceratinly qualifies as my oldest no matter what! Thanks!

Wow, that is a toasty one.

I may just be convincing myself that I see the 55 due to power of suggestion.

It could also be 39. :dontknow:

Either way, I'd take that kind of find anyday.

Yeah, she was at a very low-lying part of the property right between 2 ledges. A couple hundred years of funneled rain water have had their way with her. A guy on another forum seems pretty sure it's a 35. Lowest bid has it as far as I'm concerned!

Seems that she's a 1735 King George II Half Penny. I'll take it!
