Solo again.
I started off looking for one of these, cellar hole in the woods.

I knew it was there somewhere, but only stayed 10 minutes, too many roots, flies, and tics, got 4 of those.
Stopped at a nice grassy spot, and after only 3 of these.

I got one of these.

Tired of pull tabs I headed off to look for one of these, a nice field.

The house stone cellar is right behind me in this pic. This is where I got a barely there GEO III, and a totally toasted GEO II, and a small bit of decorated something ?

I got to all these sites on one of these. 39 KM today.

The ring, first I've found in 2 years is 14K.

And while I much prefer the older stuff to dig, I have to admit that "buttery yellow" is better than crusty copper, eh ?

Good luck out there,
Keep an eye on the ticks, they are out in cold country now.

great stuff!
gold AND (OLD) coins - can you ask for more...?
Love the bike - I too pedal to close-by locations, why use expensive gas...?

Glad you got out. Don't like the sound of the ticks yet though. Electric bike is treating you good! [emoji106]

Good looking finds Rick. I'm with you on rather finding the old stuff, but a gold ring is pretty sweet for sure. I'd say you had a great day.

Excellent hunt Rick. Is that ornate piece part of a spoon handle? I like the way that foundation looked - Wide open, clear of debris, and no people in sight.

Great KG pair too.

I don't know from what it came ?

Speaking of wide open, a side note on the bike, the motor is supposed to kick out at 20 MPH (32 KPH) I normally pedal assist only, and don't use the throttle, so anyway today I put it in power level 5 (max) and hit the throttle it went up to 44 KPH, and was still pulling, not what it's supposed to do but cool,,haha.

Old coppers and gold makes for a Great day, Congrats!!

Thanks EMDT.

I love the bike too, a mid drive, goes up ANY hill, pedaling optional.

Looks like you got a bit of a lot of different stuff. I've never dug a gold ring.

Thanks Steve,
Gold rings are hard to come by on dry land, (I have water gear, but don't do it much) and certainly less common on the type of sites we typically hunt, old home sites, not public gathering/ picnic/ park sites. This day I had full intention of stopping at one of those "other" type of spots, you can tell by the amount of tabs..

I did average only one gold ring a year, but that average has dropped a bit. Funny I got the first one so fast I was actually expecting another....is that greedy ? :laughing7:
