Gems in middle Tennessee

Has anyone heard of gemstones being found in middle Tennessee creeks?

Don't know about gem stones, but there is some brilliant agate in that area.

I ran into a guy in the Hartsville area that kept telling me there were gems in all the creeks around there. He didnt say what types of gems because he couldnt remember. Agate makes sense. Hank you again!

Don't know what county you live in but Trousdale is said to have Baryte..Calcite..Fluorite..Galena..Pyrite..Quartz..Sphalerite.
