[The Master Chief]

Received my GTI 2500 from Garrett and took her out last week, 4 December 2010. Hit a soccer field which apparently I am the only one that has hit it. I have attached the pictures. There is a ring with a big rock on the top. It appears the ring was just plated though, can't find anything stating it was 14K. It did register on the 2500 as Gold/Penny. Looks gold though. I will have to see if the rock on top is real. Who knows.

The score for the 2500: $4 (.25), $1.70 (.10), $.40 (.05), 53 penny's, a diamond ring (probably fake), a quartz watch (not running), silver heart, a watch face (lorus), a soccer token.

Not a bad day at the soccer field. Apparently I am the only one that has hunted there. The oldest coin was a 1960 Quarter, great shape too.

Took the Scorp out to a local football field today. It appears the scorp is the silver king. I hit allot of silver.

The Score for the Scorpion: a new $1 coin, $5 (.25), $1.90 (.10), $.05 (.05), 22 penny's, 1 silver ring, and a game token from a local pizza place.

The Scorp takes allot of getting used to. When there is a silver hit, you know it right away. Not to bad of a day. Of course I did get some trash also. Good luck in your hunts.

Yea I think the ring is also CZ. When I dug it up, I did have a grin but upon further looking, figured it to be fake. Oh well maybe next time.

nice finds garretthunter i ran a garrett 35 years ago and found this quarter 99.9% of all my finds were found with a garrett about 15 years ago i bought a minlab sov and a GTI 2000 i run the CX II the minlab was a good detector sold it to my hunting bud which he ran garretts he bought the CX III because he liked my CX II and the minlab he liked better than the CX III i liked my CX II which is better than the CX III and the GTI 2000 and the minlab sov and a few other brands we went toe to toe with my CX II is old but runs as good as the day i bought it bought a couple freedom three plus detectors off e-bay 2-4 months ago because of the discrimination circuit being like the CX II the plus three is absolutely amazing dont think there is a detector made today that has as fast of a recovery and is as deep pulls things out of an iron mine like the CX II went toe to toe with minlab sov and took my bud to school with 20 year old technology sold my GTI 2000 to another friend he wore it out sent it to garrett to fix it up they asked him if he would like a GTI 2500 for the price it would cost to fix the 2000 hell ya so for $300 and change he got a new 2500 and loves it but then again i am going to try the AT pro and the T2 My last find i found with my plus three is this button 35+ year span and every thing in between with garrett HAPPY HOLIDAYS KRAZYHORSES
