Garrett Infinium is doing better than the Minelab Excalibur

I live around the great lakes and a lot of the hunters here have been switching from the minelab Excalibur to the Garrett Infinium . Now none of them are divers they just hunt the beach or wade surf hunt . They say the Infinium is better for them than the Excalibur and are makeing more finds good finds with the infinium . So it looks like i will be getting a infinium. I used one of theres and it is different but really gets the job done.. .................. But with the larger coil the shaft reallys wobbles a lot but they have been buying a shaft from a guy named reid off utube that they have been useing and with his shaft no wooble at all. :headbang:

Plenty of hunters are recently switching to the Infinium for water and relic hunting. I really don't dig much junk using the reverse disc + iron check settings and the thing is "DEEP"! I've tried all the major brand water machines and the Infinium is the DEEPEST of the bunch that I've used!!!

I keep finding really deep targets in pounded out areas that others walk over :headbang:

The Infinium shows it's true power as the black sand gets thicker and this is where you'll really see the difference!

The 10X14 mono coil is my latest addition and covers a larger area too! :icon_pirat:

Oh by the way, PIs don't air test well due to the differences in design type.

Thanks!

Well my Excalibur air test at 10 inches and my GTI 1500 olny air test at almost 7 inches...... and my Sovereign at almost at 91/2 inches................... OH yes here is the sovereign wiggle........

Pic of a wiggle? I thought it was a part from a person's anatomy from the movie Avatar...... :laughing7:
You know it could have been !! I never thought about that>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

If you get a chance, try and listen to the detectors you are interested in. I tried the land version of an Excalibur for 2 years and did not like it (Sovereign GT). It was a good detector, I just did not like all the tones. So, I went with the CZ-21, built strong, simple to operate, 3 main tones to deal with, and it will chest mount, hip mount, or rod mount easily. Minelab service right now has a lot or problems. I have had trouble getting answers out of them and so have some of the dealers I buy from. The problems started in my opinion when Dick Schultz left the company and they moved the location of their plant and new owners took over. I have not had the problem yet with Fisher, although some people have complained about their service too. I have have had good prompt response from them. I have had excellent luck with my CZ. Hunted with friends that have Excals and they have not yet detected a target I could not hear with my CZ -- and that includes targets next to pieces or iron. It all comes down to preference. The one you will learn, use, and enjoy is the best one. I have a Minelab PI I use for gold nugget hunting - if you get a PI, you better not mind digging every piece of metal that exists - My GPX 4000 has some surface discrimination capability, but not much. But then, when nugget hunting, if it beeps I dig it. Good luck.
