Garrett AT Gold 5x8 made a difference

So, today I had the itch and after finding nothing yesterday but an old eagle button I had to go out an try a different coil on my MD. I changed my coil to the 5x8 from the sniper and had some luck. I've been learning the AT Gold for about a month and have been frustrated by it. Hit the dump site numerous times and have come up empty when it comes to coins, but today literally about an hr ago I found some interesting finds.

I would only use the 5x8 once I purchased one. I bought the smallest coil for my AT Pro and I didn't like it. The 5x8 causes you to swing more, but the separation is much better than anything larger.

Ill never take mine off, has turned old sites into new ones. Have found more the last 3 months than all of last year. Im in no rush so taking a little xtra time swinging covering areas to find treasure sure is worth it.

Thanks guys... I know it's a matter of putting some hrs in the machine and learning it. Hopefully I can find a ring like you Ray! I still remember that awesome diamond ring you found a while back. Just waiting for the weekend to hit up a different ghost town with this machine. I'll post my finds if any...

You'll find the diamond ring just keep swinging.
I still haven't gotten the gold/diamond ring combo, found diamonds in sterling, and gold rings but not combined!
