i'm sorry if i have asked a question that has probably been asked on this site before. i really am trying to decide between the Garrett ace 250 with dd coil or the fisher f2 with upgraded dd coil? how much of a significance are the digital read numbers that display on the fisher vs the Garrett model?

Hi outcome. I myself have a garrett 250 Ace. They now have a 350 ace but i still decided on the 250 ace.
I dont know much about the Fisher. But from what my point of view I wish I had a harder to work detector.
After using the garrett a few times I would leave it on all metal because I already know the sounds it makes. Woo somethings good in there!!. Anyway that's what I hear.

The detecter is simple, to simple but sometimes simple is a good thing. what I'm trying to say is that it doesnt have many tones to accurately tell you whats in there.
but they if find just as good as any other detectors

AT Pro....end thread!

Several side by side tests on YouTube etc. The F2 usually wins the shoot-out. Much faster recovery etc. The Ace seems to be more popular on Tnet. I do not have either one but have been looking that direction for a loaner and to try and get my daughter hunting......not much luck not that she is 18. Dad isn't as much fun as he used to be. ....ha ha. Think I will go with the F2 unless I can find her a good deal on a used machine.

thanks guys, yeah, i hear a lot about the f2 and ace 250 and 350 and of course the infamous at pro. thanks for the input

white's enough said....you will be sorry with the other one's...

Ace 250. The most popular detector in the world. 'nough said. TTC

Bet he is more confused now than when he first asked the question.:dontknow:

they are basically the same detector do you want numbers or no numbers on the screen garretts customer service is the best out there so either one you choose will be good till your ready to upgrade
