Lately I've been seeing many interesting posts on here and I know the trouble you go through in your creative process. There are times when it is more fun to reply to a story than it is to actually write one

I will hereby commandeer any future post I deem fit for hijacking.

So it is written so it shall be done

Any objections :dontknow:

I thought so, and I thank you in advance for your cooperation:icon_thumleft:

I commandeer this thread!

I want to point out that if everyone unleashed their creative "processes" like Spartacus...the padded rooms would be full to capacity!!!!

Uncommandeered. As you were.

As you know, Spart, crickets have a built in metal detector of sorts and they can actually detect precious metals, even very tiny traces of them. The cricket in the video is obviously mining a small pocket of precious metals. This is why they make the noise that is so similar to your detector when you are hunting a trash filled beach or park. Just thought I would pass this emense knowledge along. Find chirping crickets and there is sure to be traces of precious metals in the area somewhere! :headbang:

:tongue3:

That's funny. And you can always link to this thread whenever someone who hasn't seen it cries foul.

Ignorance of my edict is no excuse, therefore no link is necessary. I do appreciate your having my back  If people don't read this, it's their problem.. Besides I already have the attention of a few of my targets Dan, Scoop, Savant :tongue3:

In the event of my absence the Mighty AP will reside until I take command back. Speaking of AP, I haven't seen him post in a few days, I wonder if he got back from CA yet :icon_scratch:

AP has locked himself, and two cases of rum, in his shop until he produces the finest long shafted sand scoop ever designed.

Hmmmm :nono: AP is a Scotch drinker :read2: With his talent I am sure he will come up with a doozie I can see all the bells and whistles he'll attach to it too. It will include LED lamp for night hunting, as well as compartment to hold your finds, a cell phone holder, a tripod legging system so you don't have to lay it down while searching for your finds, a carrying handle in the middle of the shaft so that you can carry it, and also get better leverage in using it like a shovel.

On the subject of crickets, they also can tell you the temperature....by counting the number of chirps and adding forty...the only problem is I do not recall :dontknow: the time span for counting.....Soup

The time span is actually from their first chirp until their last chirp.. You just have to stop counting when the number of chirps equals the reading on a thermometer, that's the easiest way :laughing9:

For instance, if its 92 degrees out, deduct 40 and you're left with 52...divide 52 by 4 and you have 13...

Sounded good :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

Hell, I don't know :laughing7:
