Hello!
I am happy to say that if you live in the Ft. Worth, Texas area on May 1-30th there will be an exhibit in the main library on Swartz brothers photography, featuring some of my collection and others.
The famous "Wild Bunch" photo was taken by one of three brothers, John Swartz. There is a day of historic lectures on May 11th starting at 2:00-5:00. This is detailed on the Fort Worth Library's page and a Facebook page - The Swartz Brothers: Fort Worth's First Family of Photographer's. The lectures are by noted historian Richard Selcer, author of "Hell's Half-Acre".
These are two of my photos that will hopefully make the exhibit. The 1880's Cowboy may be identified, the 1890's Buffalo hair saddle has a Ft. Worth maker's name visible near the carved steer on the stirrup.
