Found this, this am. First gold for me. Just started the hobby 2.5 weeks ago. Using a TDI Beach Hunter. 4” down @ high tide mark. Another detectorist went over it. Not sure why he didn’t pick it up. A Russian fellow, visiting. Brought his detector with him. BTW, Imust have pulled 50 bottle tops. Thought this was the same.

Great job. Sometimes folks work too quickly and go past a nice find. And, if one misses an inch you miss a mile. Welcome to TN and this fabulous hobby. In order to find gold, you have to pick up a number of tabs and caps, especially on smaller objects. That has been my experience. Way to be patient and be rewarded.
