The path of a man's life is laden with snares and traps. To remain moral one must constantly be vigilant to dodge the agendas and manipulations of other men seeking POWER. When navigating this path, there will be missteps and miss directions. The doctors heal the tiger pits and our eye in the sky can put is back on the right path. This has been a vicious, vicious week for me. I started this Sunday night losing 10 liters of body fluids in 30 minutes. I should have been in the ER; however, being a stubborn doctor, I stayed home and drank Gatorade. I lost the Gatorade over and over, but force fed myself more and more. Each time a little bit of the Gatorade was absorbed and by body healed a little more. Thirty hours later I walked into my office to treat those who I knew needed me. I was feverish, I had chills, I was constantly hot and I was constantly cold. I signed hospice orders for two long term patients. I called a family member to take the gun out of the house of a suicidal patient in my office (with pt's permission,) I saw a 17y.o. with a terrible disease. I saw a 20y.o. with an even worse disease. In between these patients I saw the depressed, the anxious, and the despaired. My body was weak, my mind was tired, but I tarried forward to help my fellow man.

My body has healed, my strength has returned. Tomorrow, Eva and I leave the state of Florida on a plane for an emergency consult on a VIP patient. (I will post pics of her in the airport and plane.) We are tired, but we serve. Throughout the trials and tribulations of these weeks there has been one person who has stood steadily my by side. His name is DieselRam. You all see the correspondence in the general forum but you do not see the many PMs that we have exchanged for several months. A week ago, when I needed help, Treasure Hunter reached out to me in my hour of need. I serve my fellow man but I need support from my fellow man as well. TH answered his phone at 10pm to counsel me...despite my antagonistic comments to him earlier in the day. I know few men who would do such a thing.

Through the guidance of these two men I have realized that Obama is not what I once thought he was. I have come to truly understand the sacredness of the 2nd amendment and how it allows our country to remain the bastion of freedom it is. I loathe death...but I would loathe a gun less society more. I have no worry of a government takeover; however, I have changed my opinion. I no longer wish to compromise on the second amendment. The arguments made for further gun control have lost their teeth. The laws on the books are not enforced. The criminals will kill with wanton violence and abandon. I fully support no further restrictions on the second amendment. Several of you have said these conversations will amount to nothing...well, you are wrong. I have been changed.

Thank you Treasure Hunter.
Thank you DieselRam.

Sincerely and respectfully,
Crispin

Ps. Join Crispin's Critters about not being worried about a government takeover.

I eagerly await the pic's of your VIP patient in the airport and on the plane! :)

Well said Crispin! I am honored to have affected your thoughts and beliefs! I am sure many others reading this thread as well as the rest of the threads on Treasurenet are constantly reevaluating their thoughts and beliefs as well. Crispin I am so glad to hear you are feeling better and I can only imagine the stress you must go through as you progress through your day treating patients. Your patients are very lucky to have you caring for them.
Thank you for the kind words Crispin, you are a true friend!

I encourage all to join Crispins Critters. I can tell you first hand not worrying about a govt takeover is a huge stress removed from your mind.

Glad to hear your feeling better Crispin . Your dedication to your patients is second to none . God bless you in your practice .

I guess I had not been on that much, I was wondering why you seemed a little off lately.

Glad to have you back!

Now, Tell me , is it contagious? I was up most of the night for that sort of thing myself. I knew I shouldn't have drank your gatorade!

Crispin, sorry you been "off" some man! I been a little absent on a hard trip myself.
Isn't it funny, doctors will usually not take their own advice and seek treatment, when they need it!
Kinda like, "heal thyself", oh wait....... there's a thought.
I hate emotional fatigue, (just saying, me personally). Don't know what your prob mighta been, but real glad someone was there for you. My email is always open for you, too.
Isn't that, some of what, it's all about?

Come down to the picnic next month, if you can make it. Eva can make some new friends. :cat: rawr

Well don't be too hard on or expect too much from Obama. I see the problem as bigger than any politician no matter what he thinks. The federal gov is an entity all it's own. Picture in your mind the borg from star trek. Same for the fed, it is a self sustaining ever growing force. And no politician, no administration, no party is going to change it easily. Many blame the leftists (as rush calls em) but it grew and took more power under Bush as well. It will continually call for people and persons to exert and demand their rights.

That's a lot of sugar. Is that were the saying comes from "Dr. heal thyself?" Take care, You need some of my SNOW to get well:laughing7: The real snow not the other one:laughing7:

Be well.

Crsipin,

Glad you survived a horrible week and came out on the other side ok.

I'm just an email away whenever you need some moral support.

Take care my friend.

Regards + HH

Bill

All the best, you da man. I'm kind of a Jeff Foxworthy redneck, and a lot of your stuff is about 10 bars over my head, but I still enjoy reading it. Take care of yourself and I'm looking forward to the pictures you promised. The redneck part of me really likes pictures, mostly 'cause it's easier than readin'.

Crispin, I am glad you are back safe and sound!

I am glad you are okay Crispin and your dedication to your patients is second to none. You are a good man and also have some very good advice. Thanks Crispin.

Be well Crispin and take care.

This is Bevo's girlfriend...I just read what you wrote and I was inspired. I get the details of the"treasure netting" on a daily basis. I feel like I know you guys and Crispin...my heart goes out to you. ;) Treasure Hunter and DieselRam, thank you for being there for Crispin. Totally Awesome! ;) :)

I'm gonna bump this, cause it almost made me cry.

Hope you are having a safe trip and all is well. I have to travel to the midwest soon and I'm hoping the weather is good. Traveling this time of year can be questionable.

You are right T_H, don't let em get to ya
