The path of a man's life is laden with snares and traps. To remain moral one must constantly be vigilant to dodge the agendas and manipulations of other men seeking POWER. When navigating this path, there will be missteps and miss directions. The doctors heal the tiger pits and our eye in the sky can put is back on the right path. This has been a vicious, vicious week for me. I started this Sunday night losing 10 liters of body fluids in 30 minutes. I should have been in the ER; however, being a stubborn doctor, I stayed home and drank Gatorade. I lost the Gatorade over and over, but force fed myself more and more. Each time a little bit of the Gatorade was absorbed and by body healed a little more. Thirty hours later I walked into my office to treat those who I knew needed me. I was feverish, I had chills, I was constantly hot and I was constantly cold. I signed hospice orders for two long term patients. I called a family member to take the gun out of the house of a suicidal patient in my office (with pt's permission,) I saw a 17y.o. with a terrible disease. I saw a 20y.o. with an even worse disease. In between these patients I saw the depressed, the anxious, and the despaired. My body was weak, my mind was tired, but I tarried forward to help my fellow man.
My body has healed, my strength has returned. Tomorrow, Eva and I leave the state of Florida on a plane for an emergency consult on a VIP patient. (I will post pics of her in the airport and plane.) We are tired, but we serve. Throughout the trials and tribulations of these weeks there has been one person who has stood steadily my by side. His name is DieselRam. You all see the correspondence in the general forum but you do not see the many PMs that we have exchanged for several months. A week ago, when I needed help, Treasure Hunter reached out to me in my hour of need. I serve my fellow man but I need support from my fellow man as well. TH answered his phone at 10pm to counsel me...despite my antagonistic comments to him earlier in the day. I know few men who would do such a thing.
Through the guidance of these two men I have realized that Obama is not what I once thought he was. I have come to truly understand the sacredness of the 2nd amendment and how it allows our country to remain the bastion of freedom it is. I loathe death...but I would loathe a gun less society more. I have no worry of a government takeover; however, I have changed my opinion. I no longer wish to compromise on the second amendment. The arguments made for further gun control have lost their teeth. The laws on the books are not enforced. The criminals will kill with wanton violence and abandon. I fully support no further restrictions on the second amendment. Several of you have said these conversations will amount to nothing...well, you are wrong. I have been changed.
Thank you Treasure Hunter.
Thank you DieselRam.
Sincerely and respectfully,
Crispin
