Yesterday we took some of our finds to the local FLO… it was super exciting and we got some of our previous finds back with ids, will do them in a separate post. But it meant we got an afternoon to play in the fields.
chuffed to bits with this first find, I know it doesn’t look much but it’s my first pilgrims ampulla, bit battered, but I love it! Then we have a fancy spindle whorl, 2 musket balls, then a unknown, end of a spoon, and ring, buttons, then a super cool 1789 Macclesfield Half Penny token, a 1918 penny, and 2 George 3rd farthings. Himself found a Roman, but not sure on ID.
Tomorrow we are off to see friends who live on the site of a Roman village, am taking my machine in case they want to give their garden “make over” 😂 xx
